Profile Details Dr. Vimmi Sadarangani

Dr. Vimmi Sadarangani joined TCAS in 1995. She is a well-known Sindhi Poet also. She has two collections of poems, fours books of children literature and five books of learning Sindhi language and script in her name. She did her Ph.D. on Translation Studies titled ‘Anuvaad ki samasyaaein : Hindi aur Sindhi ka paarasparik sandarbh’ from Gujarat University in 2010. She has also completed Minor Research Project of UGC on ‘Para-psychic practices in Sindhi Community’

She has visited Singapore and Hongkong as a faculty for Sindhi Culture Course in 1995. She was invited by University of Illinois (US) for Sindhi course in Fall 2000. She was a part of First Sindhi Writers’ Delegation visited Sindh (Pakistan) in 2004.

She is a member of Sindhi Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, Delhi and National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (Ministry of HRD, GOI).

She has received various award for her contribution to Sindhi literature and education from NCERT, Sindhi Academy (Delhi), Gujarat Sindhi Academy etc.
